October 7, 2016…3:39 pm…Apple Music…Macbook Pro…Apple Music Festival 10…London…Alicia Keys performing. She started to sing one of her recent tracks entitled “28,000 Days” (you should take a listen) and after finishing, told the crowd what inspired the track. The story was about a young man writing a letter to his present self from his future self asking him what would he do if he only had 28,000 days to live? According to an OECD report in 2013, the average lifespan of a man in the United States and in most places around the world is 76. From birth to 76 years of age equals 28,000 days. So analyze your life in those numbers and sum it all up, it may sound like a lot and it may sound like a little. The most important thing is what we do with those 28,000 days. Some of us might not be so lucky to see 76 and others might go way beyond that, but no matter how far you go, are you making each of those days count?

Based on the story above,  I have 18615 days left because I started it in October 2016 at 25 years of age. So if I use 76 as a marker for my life, I presumably have 51 years left as a terrestrial being, which mathematically gives me 18615 days. How many days do you have?

I made a promise that I am going to do everything I can to make each of these days count. It will be challenging and not every day will be glittered with gold and honey, but I want to take you on this journey with me to simply “LIVE LIFE.” A part of that is being true to myself and not hiding behind a veil, hence this project. This project is called The UnSchool due to the fact that a lot of what you read here will be against what you consider as the norms and traditions of society. I have a very unschool mind as I do not like to conform to close minded thoughts, neither do I accept much of what society portrays as politically correct. I have a mind of my own; one that is creative, blunt and thought driven, and here I will tell you a little of what is on my mind.

One day in the near future you will see why I consider this more so a project than a blog.

Please join me on this journey and as we start counting down the days, don’t look at it as doom and gloom (hell no), this is about celebrating the life we have and making the best of it. Thanks for the support.
